In the horoscope or ascendant chart, the Moon governs our mind and mother (relations with mother, mother’s health, longevity, etc.) So, when it gets affected due to being combusted by the Sun, those areas are affected.
Some of the impacts of a combusted Moon in Vedic astrology are:
- Persistent mental stress, depression, anxiety, overthinking (in worst case, this may turn into mental disorders)
- Weak relationship with mother, or mother’s health may be affected, or she may remain sick mostly and/or may not live long
- Unstable finances; a combust Moon will cause the person’s finances to remain shaky, they will struggle to find a stable source of income but not with much success
- Lack of clarity, so the person may be confused and/or disoriented in their thoughts and their decision-making may be affected
- Emotional weakness and dependence – such persons will tend to get emotionally attached too easily and end up breaking their own hearts because they end up trusting others way too easily
- Relationships tend to be unstable or short-lived due to emotional instability or the person ends up meeting the wrong (incompatible) people in dating and love relations
- Weak sense of intuition, so such individuals tend to take decisions on pure logic instead of relying on their intuition and gut feeling
In women, a combusted Moon causes them to become more assertive and have more masculine personality traits; their appearance may also be affected as they will end up looking more male-like. Such women do not care about their feelings or emotional connections much and are more likely to be goal-oriented and action-driven as well as practical.
House-Wise Considerations
- Combust Moon in the 6th House – if Moon is positioned in the 6th house of the ascendant chart, which is the house of diseases, debts, and enemies, the person may suffer from chronic depression as well as mental disorders. He/she may also suffer due to enemies or adversaries in the workplace or university or among the family.
- Combust Moon in the 8th House – if Moon is positioned in the 8th house of the ascendant chart, which is the house of accidents, occult sciences, hidden things, and death, the person has a potential chance to end themselves due to depression (if left untreated).
- Combust Moon conjunct malefic planets or aspects – the person is likely to be an alcoholic
