The 7^th house of the ascendant (Lagna) chart is the natural house of Venus as Venus is the Karaka (Significator) of the 7^th house of the Lagna chart.

The 7^th house in the ascendant chart governs marriage, happiness from spouse, nature and personality of the wife or husband, success in partnerships, gains and successes from marriage.

If Venus is well-placed in the 7^th house of the ascendant (Lagna) chart, the person will have a beautiful and loving partner but he/she may be excessively sexual and may end up trying to have extra-marital affairs though they will not have any genuine need or reason to do so. The chances of this happening would be considerably reduced if Venus is aspected or conjunct with Jupiter, in which cases the native, though still having a high sex drive, will continually stay with their partner only and avoid looking elsewhere.

If Venus is conjunct with Rahu, the partner will undoubtedly have multiple sexual partners unless Saturn manages to restrict the same either via aspect or conjunction. Unfortunately, Rahu’s aspect or conjunction will corrupt Venus and the marriage will likely not last due to the native’s spouse falling sick and perishing or losing their life.

If Venus is in His own sign or in exaltation in the 7^th house of the ascendant (Lagna) chart, the person will enjoy a very happy married life; his/her fortune and wealth shall increase considerably after marriage. In those cases, the native may marry someone who is from a very rich family and could potentially acquire wealth from their in-laws and their family too through inheritance.

Some considerations to note here:

• Venus Mercury conjunction – the native shall obtain a beautiful, learned spouse who is likely intellectual and also younger than them in age. Venus and Mercury conjunction is wonderful in the 7^th house as it also signifies that the native’s marriage will bring forth abundance in not just their family life but also in their financial status. This combination also gives rise to the famous ‘Laxmi Narayan Yog’ which is the conjunction of Venus (Laxmi) and Mercury (Narayan) in one of the four angular houses (Kendra Bhava) in a friendly sign including the 1^st, 4^th, 7^th, or 10^th house. Undoubtedly, the 7^th house takes precedence here because Mata Lakshmi and Lord Narayan are believed to be an ideal couple, similar to Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati. However, there are some scriptures that suggest that even in this case, unless this conjunction is aspected by Jupiter, the native will still have excessive sexual desires and may likely end up dating or being physically intimate with spouses of others or simply people of the opposite gender other than their partner. I personally do not have an opinion as I have seen both cases, so I would say it depends on the placement of other planets in the chart as well as the position of the lord of the 7^th house in the Lagna and Navamsa charts.
• Venus Mars conjunction – the chances of the person having multiple relationships or affairs, sometimes together, are much higher in this case. Not much good can be said for this, although the person will never lack partners in their life and they will have little to no difficulty finding new mates if for any reason whatsoever their existing relationship or marriage ends.
• Venus Sun conjunction – effects shall be similar to Venus Mars conjunction although on a slightly lower level.
• Venus Ketu conjunction – this could be such that the person will be very emotionally and physically demanding but they will end up marrying someone who will not care much about those things and may be more spiritually inclined, leading to marital dissatisfaction.
• Venus Ketu conjunction in Scorpio – Alternatively, if Ketu is placed in Scorpio, the person’s spouse will cause the native losses due to some reason they will end up seeking pleasures or marital happiness elsewhere leading to secret affairs.
• Venus Ketu conjunction in Sagittarius – this is a surprisingly good conjunction because when Venus is conjunct with Ketu in Sagittarius, the native gets excellent sexual pleasures from their spouse and overall, the marriage could be considered as happy if not perfect.

In all other cases, Ketu will cause loss of marriage, secret relationships and affairs, or perhaps no marriage at all if Venus is afflicted along with Ketu being in a sign other than Sagittarius.
