The placement of the Moon in the 7^th house is considered quite good, because (1) the 7^th house is one of the angular houses (1^st, 4^th, 7^th, and 10^th) where the house itself gives benefic effects, and (2) the Moon is a benefic planet and the 7^th house governs marriage and partnerships, so the Moon governing those areas would mean that they would go well for the native overall unless She gets afflicted.

For certain, one with an unafflicted Moon in their 7^th house of the ascendant chart will have a very good marriage along with a beautiful spouse. It also enables the native to have a timely marriage; whether this marriage will be a love marriage or an arranged one depends on the position of Venus in the chart as well as the lord of the fifth house of the chart. Also, the Moon’s placement in the 7^th house here also provides success to the native in terms of partnerships and deals with the government (government contracts or basically good relations with the government).

There are some downsides to this placement too, however.

Since the 7^th house also focuses on partnerships, the person will have a lot of interactions with the opposite gender, and some of them might even get to the intimacy level (since the 7^th house represents marriage and in the previous times, marriage was the only way to ensure physical intimacy).

Needless to say, he/she would be quite fond of the opposite gender.

Some points to consider here are:

1. Moon in Cancer (own sign) – the person will have only one spouse and all benefits and luxuries of marriage will be accessible to them.
2. Moon in Taurus (exaltation) – same as above, and the person themselves will also be quite devoted to their spouse.
3. Moon in friendly sign – if the lord of the 7^th house is strongly placed, the person will end up likely having more than one marriage.
4. Moon conjunct malefics – problems in marriage, or perhaps the spouse may perish especially if the native is a male. To a lesser degree, the person might end up divorcing their spouse and having multiple marriages.
5. Moon conjunct or aspected by benefics – successful marriage and luxuries of marriage still apply though not as strongly as exaltation or own sign.
