The 6^th house is one of the Trika houses of the chart, also referred to as the malefic houses. In those houses, malefic planets such as Mars, Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu do well – since the houses themselves represent primarily negative aspects such as debts, enemies, diseases, etc.

Venus being a benefic planet will often struggle in the 6^th house and may cause diseases if Venus is debilitated in this house as well as lack of sexual satisfaction by the person.

If Venus is placed in Libra (its own sign), the person shall destroy his/her enemies, or they will never be too much of an issue in the first place.

Some considerations for Venus in the 6^th house of the ascendant (Lagna) chart:

• Venus in Scorpio – bad placement for the 6^th house; the person will remain troubled by enemies and may end up overspending.
• Venus in Sagittarius – suffers due to enemies as well as struggles against them but is able to overcome them finally.
• Venus in Capricorn – suffers in terms of diseases and relationships but will be able to defeat enemies regardless.
• Venus in Aquarius – the only good placement for Venus other than Libra wherein Venus helps the native make money as well as establish a successful career in politics; the person will be able to defeat their enemies.
• Venus in Pisces – Venus is exalted in Pisces, but the benefic effects may be somewhat less prominent due to the malefic house placement; however, an exalted Venus can be extremely powerful if aspected by benefic planets.
• Venus conjunct Rahu – in the 6^th house, Rahu is the strongest planetary placement possible; combined with the strategic intellect of Rahu and the mystical energies of Venus, the person will be more than capable of taking down any opposition. However, for this to happen, the zodiac sign of the 6^th house should either be a sign owned by Venus (Libra or Taurus) or one in which Rahu does well in (Gemini or Taurus).
• Venus conjunct Ketu – some of the beneficial effects apply identical to Venus conjunct Rahu, but not as much as Ketu is better posited in the 12^th house rather than the 6^th. The person is more likely to suffer from enemies, however.

In simple words, Venus in an enemy or neutral sign in the 6^th house will make the native suffer due to diseases and enemies, while in a friendly sign, he/she will suffer from diseases only but enemies will be dealt with. Lastly, in exaltation or own signs, Venus will help the native make money as well as dominate his/her enemies and also reduce the likelihood of enemies.
