The 4th house of the Lagna (ascendant) chart is an excellent place to be for Venus as it governs both domestic happiness as well as fixed assets like lands, buildings, properties, as well as movable assets like vehicles, conveyances, etc. It is also the house of the mother. A little known fact is that the 4th house of the Lagna chart also governs or determines the peace and prosperity of a residence; for example, if the 4th house of the Lagna chart is afflicted somewhat, then even if the native enjoys a huge house and all the comforts, they will continually suffer bickerings and arguments with their family members (or be forced to hear arguments of their family members) whilst being in the house.
Venus in the 4th house of the ascendant (Lagna) chart will also give considerable comforts and luxuries of a spacious residence to the native. When Venus is well-placed in the 4th house, it also means that the mother of the native will enjoy a good life, she will have a long life, be beautiful and kind in nature and appearance, and the native will have an excellent relationship with his/her mother.
Also, because Venus also represents the spouse (for men), having a well-placed Venus in the 4th house will ensure that the native has a loving wife and therefore will enjoy marital bliss in their residence.
Some considerations to make here are –
- If Venus is in exaltation or in its own signs – the person will have an added level of wealth further reinforcing their already considerable comforts and luxuries of domestic life. It is also likely that the native’s mother will have a very rich background or be the one contributing to the wealth of the family and to domestic happiness as well.
- If Venus is conjunct Rahu or Ketu – in this case, Venus conjunct Rahu in the 4th house will cause the person to have a large house whether due to themselves or family, but they will not find peace in that due to arguments, fights, and quarrels with their family. Similarly, if Ketu is conjunct Venus, the person may either have a very religious ambience in their house and family, or they will likely lose their properties and wealth depending on however Ketu is placed.
IMPORTANT: When Venus is conjunct Ketu in Sagittarius in the 4th house, meaning that the person is a Virgo ascendant, the person will NOT lose their properties and assets since Ketu is considered exalted in Sagittarius, and at the same time, Venus in Sagittarius will give excellent results relating to properties and assets. Similarly, when Venus is conjunct Rahu in Gemini, the mother’s health may be affected, but Rahu will not take away everything in that house even if He afflicts it because Rahu in Gemini is considered similar to exalted. In other zodiac signs, Rahu and Ketu may potentially cause loss of property or the good effects of the 4th house.
Aside from this, when Venus is aspected by any benefic planet in the 4th house, the capabilities of the house to deliver good results will be reinforced. Similarly, malefic planets in the 4th house will cause harm to the mother of the native, or the peace and happiness of the house, or to the properties and assets of the native.
